Yes. Vancouver Pacific Family Dentistry is an independent, locally owned dental office in the Hazel Dell area, at 7819 NE 13th Ave. It isn't part of a chain or a corporate group. Dr. Eun Yu and Dr. Junghee Kim see patients of all ages, and we're accepting new patients now. Call (360) 597-4793 to book.

Who are the dentists?

Dr. Eun Yu grew up in the Pacific Northwest after being born in Seoul. She earned her Bachelor of Science at the University of Oregon and her Doctor of Dental Medicine with honors from Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU).

Dr. Junghee Kim was born and raised in northeast Portland. She studied at Oregon State University, earned her DMD with honors at OHSU, and then finished a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry through NYU Lutheran.

The two met during their dental school interviews at OHSU and have been friends ever since. Both are general dentists and members of the American Dental Association and the Washington State Dental Association.

What does "independent" mean for patients?

For us it comes down to a few everyday things:

You see the same faces. Our team of hygienists, assistants and front desk staff knows our regular patients by name.
The dentists make the treatment decisions. Your plan is based on what Dr. Yu or Dr. Kim sees in your mouth.
We take time to explain. We'd rather you understand what's going on and decide for yourself than feel rushed.

What happens at a first visit?

We go over your health history and take X-rays.
Your dentist does a full exam of your teeth and gums.
We talk through what we found and any treatment you might need, with costs up front.
Your cleaning is done at the same visit or booked soon after, depending on what you need.

New patient forms are on our website, so you can fill them out before you come in.

Where are you, and when are you open?

We're at 7819 NE 13th Ave in Hazel Dell, an easy drive from Salmon Creek, Felida and downtown Vancouver. We're open Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and closed on weekends.
